I have never been to a Great Hearts Irving Floresco. What can I expect?
Floresco is an adults-only event supporting Great Hearts Irving. The night begins with a cocktail reception while guests view and bid on silent auction items, choose from our selection of Mustang Grab and Go items, get your photos at the photo station and visit with friends, old and new. Then we will enjoy a sit down dinner, the Live Auction portion of the event, live music and dancing, and our casino! Tickets include dinner, 1 drink ticket, and parking. Additional drinks will be available for purchase at several bars throughout the venue.
What is the Silent Auction?
The Silent Auction items are available to view in person the evening of the event. All bidding takes place online and is open to all supporters of GHI, even if an event ticket is not purchased. Silent Auction online bidding opens April 19th, at which time a link to the bidding, as well as instructions for bidding, will be emailed to all GHI families. Silent Auction bidding closes promptly at 10pm on Saturday, April 26.
What are Mustang Mixers?
Mustang Mixers are gatherings hosted by various Mustang families. In the past, these have included grade level game parties, back to school parties, adult mixers, etc. Parties are generously organized and funded by GHI families, with the ticket sale proceeds going back to Great Hearts Irving. Many parties will sell out, so grab those tickets fast!
Live Auction
Our professional auctioneer, Chuck Darling with Tyson Fundraising, will guide us through the Live Auction portion of the event. Get ready to bid on that special item you've been eyeing! Each attendee with have a unique bid card for this portion of the evening.
Casino
A new portion of our evening will be an opportunity to play the tables! Each attendee will be provided “Mustang Funny Money” to get your gamble on! More details coming soon!!!
Mustang Chamber Choir
Our very own GHI Mustang Chamber Choir lead by our dear Mr. Beadle will make their much requested return performance.
When will tickets go on sale and how much do they cost?
Tickets are available NOW! Individual Admission tickets are $95, Couple tickets are $190. Take advantage of our early bird pricing and get your tickets for $85/$170. Buy either an 8 or 10 top table and gather your friends! Include your table name as you purchase your tickets. Sponsor a teacher by purchasing their tickets! Every year, GHI absorbs the costs to allow our teachers to attend the event. Help us offset those costs and we will let your teacher know about your gift!
Why should I consider a sponsorship?
Table and Event Sponsorships include extra perks like priority seating and various levels of both print and online recognition. Depending on the level of sponsorship, tickets may be included. Sponsorships are crucial in underwriting the cost of our event so that the funds raised through the Live and Silent Auction can go straight to GHI! What kind of items will be auctioned?
A wide variety of items have been donated in the past - there is something for everyone. For the Silent Auction, you'll be amazed what our GHI families have put together for the Grade Level Baskets. Many local businesses participate in the Silent Auction - expect to see spa services, restaurant gift cards and experiences for both adults and kids. For the Live Auction portion, expect to see items like private dinners, vacations and those one-of-a-kind experiences!
How will the money raised be used by GHI?
The funds raised will be used to toward the Great Hearts Irving Community Investment fund. This money is used to pay our bills, pay our teachers and staff, and for any additional funding needs all for the benefit of our students. How does seating work?
Seats will be assigned prior to the event. To guarantee a table for your party, please consider purchasing either an 8 or 10 top table. To submit a seating request, please enter a group name for your table when you purchase your tickets. We will do our best to accommodate.
Can I stay the night at the Embassy Suites?
Yes! The Embassy Suites has reserved a block of rooms for Floresco guests at a special rate. More details to come!
Do I have to spend a lot of money if I come to the event?
This is a fundraising event, but it's also an opportunity to spend time with fellow GHI families and build community. Your ticket helps us cover the cost of your dinner, entertainment and other overhead expenses. Beyond the ticket cost, there is no obligation to buy anything. We do work to make sure there is something for everyone. Thank you for supporting this event and GHI!
Where do I pick up the items I won?
Please visit the check-out table as you leave to pick up your items. If you forget something, or if you purchased an item from the Silent Auction but did not attend the event in-person, items will be returned to the Upper School for you to arrange pick up.
What is a "Simply Fabulous" attire?
Guests are encouraged to come as your fabulous selves! This has included formal suits and gowns, cocktail dress, and fancy night out attire. There is no "dress code" for this event, so come as you are - we just want you to attend and have a great time!
